Hair Jazz - The Solution To My Hair Growth Problems?

I know that those of you who read my blog on a regular basis (thank you very much by the way!) are probably marvelling at the title, as a hair related post is a very rare occurrence here - almost as rare as a post from me that fails to contain at least two examples of heavy alliteration. However, all self-deprecating jokes aside, I'm so glad to finally be getting this post up for you guys, mainly because, for the first time, we're going to touch on one of my insecurities: my short hair that, despite much effort, constantly refuses to grow.

Several years ago, as a younger child, the length of my luscious locks (there's that alliteration...) was absolutely undeniable, so much so that quite a few people commented on it on a daily basis. However, due to the type of hair I have (tight curls and a frizzy front), it was beginning to take forever just to create a simple plait and the length became a real hinderance. Therefore, my parents made the decision (one that, nowadays, I don't resent them for but was slightly miffed about for a while) to have my hair cut and, since then, despite the fact that several years have passed, it still sits disappointingly at my shoulders.

Now, obviously, short hair can look utterly stunning on certain people with a variety of face shapes, however I, personally, am really not into the way I look with it, meaning that it quickly became one of my biggest insecurities. Naturally, I'm of the opinion that long hair suits me a lot better; one day, I tasked myself with the difficult mission of restoring my previous look. The look that I've missed so much. However, the one issue I faced and have continued to face over the last while is my hair's sheer reluctance to grow even a few centimetres. I was almost at a loss and felt as if giving up was the most viable option, until I discovered Hair Jazz

After being kindly offered the opportunity to test the hair growth shampoo, lotion and mask bundle (which has currently been reduced from £82 to £49) by the lovely Ausra from the Harmony Life marketing team, I was fairly optimistic about the products - the reviews are top notch and, at this point, quite frankly, I was desperate.

So, within the set, you receive:

All of the products are available individually too, meaning that if you just want to give Hair Jazz a first "try", you don't have to pay over the odds in order to do so. However, personally, I can't praise and recommend the trio enough for the effects and growth I've noticed so far on my hair.

Starting with the mask, which is so incredibly moisturising and nourishing for those much older ends, I've been absolutely loving using it as a cheeky weekly treat (yes, despite how sad it sounds, my guilty pleasure is, indeed, a hair mask...). My hair always feels so much softer and more supple after each usage and, overtime, it has stimulated my roots to take in a whole lot more moisture, thus contributing to the whopping 5 CENTIMETRES of growth that I've noticed over the last while. Therefore, I totally recommend this product - it's quick and easy to use, provides intense nourishment for your follicles and, most importantly, it works.

Now, with my shampoo, I tend to be rather picky and particular (habits) - most shampoos I come across just don't make the cut in terms of quality and effectiveness. However, I can assure you, I definitely got a shock when discovering this gem, as it's rapidly become my favourite and most used shampoo within my entire hair care collection. With its fresh scent and ocean blue hue, this, like a majority of all Hair Jazz products, contains so many amazing ingredients (such as Keratin, Soy protein, Vitamin B6, Egg shell extract and Chitin) essential for the maintenance of healthy and glossy hair. Plus, a little goes such a long way - I can happily enjoy a generous lather knowing that there's enough left in the bottle for next time (and that, ladies and gentlemen, is surprisingly reassuring!).

Finally, we have the lotion which, for me, was the most interesting of the three products, as it requires you to spray the bottled solution directly onto the hair, primarily the roots, with the goal of kickstarting the remarkable lengthening and strengthening effect that we all desire. This, for me, made a lot of sense - application couldn't be simpler and again, like with the shampoo, the amount of product is well-controlled, resulting in less wastage and a longer-lasting product. The liquid itself is incredibly delicate, feels refreshing on the scalp and, as we discussed before, contains those stunning active ingredients. For me, this lotion is a must have for my dry, damaged hair - it's never looked as alive as it does in such a long time.

Overall, I am absolutely overjoyed each time I look at the progress my hair has made on the first couple of months of it's journey with Hair Jazz and I can only predict further improvement in the near future. I encourage you all to try at least one of the trio above (if not, all of them!) and let me know your thoughts; I'm almost 100% sure you guys will be just as happy as I am with your own results.

Thank you so much for reading today's rather rare hair care post - I really hope you enjoyed reading it and getting to know a bit more about my hair type, struggles and the products I've been using to successfully combat them.

Are you fully happy with the length of your hair? If not, would you consider using Hair Jazz to boost growth?

After following/subscribing to my blog (you don't want to miss any new and juicy posts, do you?), let me know your responses in the comments section, along with any other feedback, questions or opinions you'd be interested in letting me know of - I love hearing from you!

    1. Yes, ingredients are key Serena, but, trust me, the majority of them are absolute essentials for growing and maintaining luscious hair! I am totally on the same page as you when it comes to tightly coiled hair - mine certainly looks a lot longer when straightened or even wet.

  41. Hi! Was just wondering how long it took for you to start noticing growth? I've been using hair jazz since about February of this year, and am not noticing much growth. My hair, too, barely budges when it comes to growth. I do know that I haven't had to trim the ends (my hair stylist is shocked, as I have very fine, fragile hair.) Should I stick with the program? Do you know if some people see results much later (past the 6-8 weeks recommended by the company)?

    Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi there gorgeous! Yes, firstly, I totally recommend sticking with the program, as results for anything do tend to vary based on the person, their hair type, the treatments they've had done in the past and the condition of their hair. It is unfortunate that some, like you and I, have slow growing hair but, honestly, with these, as I really worked them into the scalp, it genuinely took me about a month and a half to see growth. However, my growth may have been accelerated because I take biotin tablets on a daily basis (that help with skin, hair and nail maintenance) so if you continue with the Hair Jazz products and really massage the scalp with each and every one of the products, you will see noticeable growth, I promise! If not, maybe you could do the same as me and start taking biotin or, better yet, I'm about to begin testing the Hair Jazz Vitamins and using them in conjunction with the products to see what results I can get from that! You should see a post on that soon, so stay tuned if you want an update on them! xx

    1. Hi there! If you want my honest opinion, it would be this: these products genuinely do work really well for strengthening, lengthening and making the hair more glossy but, as for the price, I think they are too expensive. My hair is just like yours - it never changes so I was over the moon to finally see some difference however, looking back, in retrospect, there are other products that probably do the same for less. Have you ever tried the supplement route? I'm trialling some now and they really are making a difference! I use it each week and massage it into my scalp for 5 minutes - I'm still seeing growth. If you combine that with trimming every 6-8 weeks and hair, skin and nail supplements then, trust me, you will see the growth. I will be getting some more Hair Jazz shampoos and things in because I really did love them - definitely recommend! x
